At 21:05hrs the Critical Control Centre received a call from Devon and Cornwall Police asking for assistance to rescue a male who was in the river near to the Borough Arms, Bodmin.
Two appliances from Bodmin, Water Rescue Units from Falmouth and St Austell and two wholetime officers were immediately mobilized to liaise with Police at the scene.
On arrival crews worked with South West Ambulance and Devon and Cornwall Police to locate the male approx. 2 minutes walk down the Camel Trail. When the crews located the male he was rescued using a throw line and managed to self extricate himself to the bank of the river.
The male was assisted back towards the Borough Arms Car Park and left in the hands of South West Ambulance Service.
