Cornwall Fire and Rescue service received multiple calls from members of the public reporting a fire within a skip at Eastern Green, Penzance. One pump from Penzance Community Fire Station was immediately mobilised by Fire Control.
On arrival the officer in charge confirmed a small amount of rubbish on fire within a skip on the back of a lorry. Crews extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet.
This incident was confirmed as accidental and confined.
