Cornwall Fire and Rescue service received several calls from members of the public reporting a shed fire in Mayfield Drive, Roche. One pump from St Dennis and one pump from St Austell Community Fire Stations were immediately mobilised by Fire Control along with a whole time officer.

On arrival the officer in charge confirmed one domestic shed well alight. Good progress was being made. The fire was confirmed as accidental and had spread to the garden fence. Crews extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets.

The incident was left safe and in the hands of the occupants.
