Storage Bin Store Fire

The Fire Service received several calls initially to a bin fire on Hilgrove Road Newquay which turned out to be an independent storage bin store behind Tesco Express. One appliance from Newquay attended and extinguished the fire using 2 hose reels, hydrant and wearing 2 breathing apparatus. The police also attended to close the road, and western power was also requested for a lamp post that was affected by the fire. The crews deemed the incident to be arson.
