At 08:58 this morning the Critical Control Centre received a call from a member of the public, regarding a boat on fire.

Both appliances from St Mary's were mobilised immediately. Crews discovered that the fire located within the engine room of the cargo boat had been extinguished, prior to arrival.

Firefighters remain on scene unloading cargo and monitoring temperatures, using a thermal imaging camera.
