One appliance from Newquay Fire Station attended reports of smoke seen coming from the garden of a property near to Pentire Point. On investigation crews found 10 sq m gorse on fire in the garden of a derelict property, they used one hosereel to extinguish the flames. They also used beaters to prevent the fire spreading to the headland.
The cause of the fire is unkown.
