At 1841 this evening we were called to The Miner's Arms at Mithian near St Agnes to a fire in the roof which had spread from a chimney fire. Appliances from Perranporth and Redruth plus the aerial platform ladder from Truro made 5 appliances attending. On arrival smoke was issuing from the roof and shortly after was breaking through the roof. 4 breathing apparatus sets and 2 hosereels were in use and a covering jet laid out, salvage operations were carried out.
