Cornwall Fire and Rescue service received a call from a member of the public reporting a fire at a property in Glenthorne Road, Threemilestone. Two pumps from Truro and one from Tolvaddon Community Fire Station’s along with a whole time officer were immediately mobilised by Critical Control.

On arrival the officer in charge confirmed a small microwave fire within the kitchen area of the property. Crews extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus under stage one, one hose reel jet, one safety jet and a thermal imaging camera.

One person was rescued from the property by Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service, handover form was completed and the incident was left safe and in the hands of the Ambulance Service.
