At 0431 the brigade were called to a derelict hotel fire in Mount Wise, crews from Newquay initally attended and found a three storey building with a substantial fire in the second floor roof space. Crews wore 12 sets of breathing appartus and used three jets to extinguish the fire. All persons were accounted for, in total 10 fire appliances attended, two aerial ladder platforms, and three water carriers. Fire investigators are investigating how this fire started.
