On the initial call to this incident two appliances from Launceston were mobilised, on arrival further assistance was required and appliances from Callington and Bodmin were mobilised. The fire was found to involve a large detached bungalow which was well alight, there were also 'Persons Reported' at the incident. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the building with hosereels to tackle the blaze and search the property, unfortunately the property became very dangerous and gave concerns to the safety of crews inside and they were withdrawn, the fire was then fought from the exterior of the property. When the property was deemed safe, breathing apparatus teams again entered the building and proceeded to thoroughly search the property and fortunately no persons were found. Crews attending the incident were from Launceston, Callington and Bodmin also specialist appliances from Truro and St. Austell attended. The last crew returned home at approximately 0030 hours on the 26th. A Fire Investigation Team attended and will re-inspect in the morning. Arson is suspected, the police and the Arson Task Force are now dealing.
