At 20:03 the Critical Control Centre received an emergency call regarding a hedge on fire. One fire appliance from St Austell was mobilised to the incident.
On arrival crews found a small area of grass and hedge on fire. Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
The fire was confirmed as accidental and confined.
