At 21:38 this evening The Critical Control Centre received 62 emergency calls reporting a fire on top of Carn Marth in Redruth. Crews from Tolvaddon, Falmouth and Perranporth used hose reels and beaters to extinguish the blaze.
The cause is believed to be deliberate and the Police have been made aware.
