At 0428 hours this morning calls were received reporting a fire in a derelict property. Two fire appliances and the aerial ladder platform were mobilised from Newquay Fire Station. As soon as the first appliance arrived on scene it was decided to mobilise a further fire appliance from Perranporth Fire Station to assist in firefighting. The four story building measures approximately thirty meters by twenty meters. Firefighters are using four breathing apparatus sets, two hose reels, one main jet, one ladder and a thermal image camera.
