Both appliances from Newquay were mobilised on receipt of this call. On arrival crews found a fire in the first floor flat of a two storey building, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the building and used a hosereel to extinguish the fire, the crew also removed an unconscious casualty from the building, who was taken into the care of West Country Ambulance personnel. Arson is suspected, the police and the Arson Task Force are now dealing.
