An appliance from Liskeard attended a call to a fire in a field at 15:00 today. On arrival the crew confirmed that an area of long grass in a field approximately 100 meters square was well alight. Firefighters used beaters and a hose reel to extinguish the flames and damp down the area.
The cause is believed to be accidental.
