Silage Pit Fire

Appliances from Truro, Newquay and St Dennis are currently on scene at a farm near Mitchell. The Critical Control Centre mobilised appliances after reports of a silage pit on fire.
When crews arrived on scene they confirmed one silage pit on fire, involving a number of tyres.
A water carrier from Liskeard is also in attendance due to low water supplies in the area and and Operational Support Vehicle from St Austell Fire Station has provided support for breathing apparatus teams.
