Woman Rescued From Fire

Firefighters from Wadebridge and Bodmin were called to a house fire yesterday evening. An elderly lady and her cat were rescued by firefighters from the two storey terraced house. The fire started in the ground floor kitchen and fortunately hadn't spread further. Firefighters extinguished it wearing breathing apparatus and using hosereels. They used positive pressure ventilation (fans) to disperse the smoke. The lady was taken to hospital in an ambulance.
