Grass Fire

Two appliances from Newquay also the water carrier attended this incident which involved approximately 8 acres of grass, crews used hosereels and beaters to extinguish the fire, Devon and Cornwall Police were informed of the incident, as large amounts of smoke were obscuring the nearby highway. Crews were detained for a while damping down, the last crew returned at approximately 1800 hours.
