Trailer Containing 400 Bales of Hay Destroyed By Fire

One appliance from Callington, one appliance from Launceston, one appliance from Saltash and the water carrier from Bodmin attended. The crews used one jet and 4 hosereels to extinguish the fire, which had spread to a field of stubble. The main A388 road was closed for a time as it was unsafe for vehicles to pass. Arson is suspected, the police and the Arson Task Force are now dealing.
