If your child loves the loud red fire engine, squirting water and wearing a big yellow hat – or, indeed, if you love all three – then come to Camborne Fire Station’s open day on 20th August 2005.

The day also includes a visit from Devon and Cornwall Constabulary and HM Coastguard.

The Firefighters from Camborne will be doing practical demonstrations of their fire fighting skills including a display of the Aerial Ladder Platform. All money raised will be going to the Fire Service National Benevolent Fund.

“Anyone visiting can also sign up for a free home safety check and we will arrange to visit them in the near future, and ensure their homes have working smoke alarms” said Station Officer Steele

He cont: “This is the community’s fire station and we hope that lots of people from our community will pay us a visit”
