At 2221 on 22nd August a 999 call reported a barn containing hay and straw was on fire. When two fire engines from Saltash arrived on scene at 2235 the barn was well alight. A water carrier from Bodmin also attended the incident. Crews used 2 main jets to extinguish the fire which apart from the large barn, also involved 2 tractors and a telescopic handler. The fire, which is believed to be arson at this time, was brought under control at 0043 and crews returned to station at 0250.
