One appliance and a Light 4x4 vehicle from Wadebridge have extinguished an abandoned campfire on Pentire Point near Polzeath.
A member of the public called 999 shortly before 9:30am to report a patch of grass smoldering near the coastal footpath.
The crew used one hose reel to extinguish the fire.
