At 01:02hrs the Critical Control Centre received a 999 call from a café in Padstow, the fire alarm was sounding and a fire was confirmed to be in the kitchen.

Two appliances, one from Padstow Fire Station and another from Wadebridge Fire Station were immediately mobilized with a wholetime officer.

Crews arrived at the café and reported the fire had been extinguished before their arrival using a fire blanket. The crew continued to investigate to ensure the fire had not spread into ceiling voids.

At 02:10hrs all appliances had left the incident and returned to their respective stations.
