Cornwall Fire and Rescue service received a call from a member of the public reporting an Oxy Acetylene cylinder on fire at Falmouth Docks. Two pumps from Falmouth Community Fire Station were immediately mobilised by Critical Control along with a whole time officer.
On arrival the officer in charge confirmed a fire involving one Acetylene cylinder located in a fabrication workshop. Crews extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus under stage one, one hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera.
The incident was left safe and in the hands of the dock management.
