Cornwall Fire and Rescue service received a call from a member of the public reporting a fire alarm sounding at a property in Beacon Street, Falmouth. Two pumps from Falmouth Community Fire Station were immediately mobilised by Critical Control.
On arrival the officer in charge confirmed a smell of smoke. Crews investigated using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and one thermal imaging camera. Crews identified that the kitchen area of the property was smoke logged. The incident was confirmed as accidental, confined and the area was ventilated.
The incident was left safe and in the hands of the occupants.
