Good progress is being made. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are using hose reels and a main jet to extinguish the fire.

Update at 15:15 HRS

The incident has now been downscaled. One appliance remains on scene and is monitoring the scene and damping down hot spots.

** Update at 16:00 HRS **

All Fire Service Resources have now left the scene.

Every year we attend numerous fires on farms, where buildings are completely destroyed by fire, often with the loss of large amounts of stock, straw, hay, farm machinery, chemicals and even livestock.
We have produced a booklet in partnership with Cornish Mutual and NFU Mutual to help farms comply with the new fire laws.
The booklet contains the information on the following:
• What you’re required to do by law
• Fire safety risk assessments
• If a fire breaks out
• Controlled burning
• Dangerous substances
• Arson
