At 14:59 this afternoon the Critical Control Centre received an emergency call, stating that smoke could be seen coming from a premise on Gurneys Lane.

Two appliances from Tolvaddon and a Whole time Officer were mobilised to the incident.

Once in attendance crews confirmed a fire within a two storey derelict building, approx. 30m by 30m and requested the attendance of a further appliance.

Perranporth were immediately mobilised to the incident. Firefighters remain in attendance, using: two Jets, one Hose Reel, one Triple Extension Ladder and two Breathing Apparatus.

Good progress is being made and Devon and Cornwall Police are also in attendance.
