On receipt of this call appliances from Newquay responded, further resources attended from Bodmin and St. Austell. The incident involved a spillage of a chemical in a classroom. the area was evacuated, firefighters wearing gas tight suits were committed at the incident, they proceeded to neutralise the chemical and the residue was placed in a safe container and locked in a secure area awaiting collection by a specialist company. This was a protracted incident, the last appliance returning at approximately 1330 hours.
