Both appliances from Truro were mobilised on receipt of this call. On arrival crews found that there had been a fire involving a deep fat fryer in the kitchen. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a fire blanket and extinguishers at the scene and then proceeded to monitor the situation. An ambulance attended to treat a casualty for the effects of smoke inhilation. Fortunately there was a fire blanket in the kitchen area and staff used this to good effect.
