At 10:00 the Critical Control Centre, based in Tolvaddon, received a 999 call informing them of smoke issuing from a commercial property in Hayle.

Appliances from Hayle and Tolvaddon were immediately mobilised, along with two wholetime officers for support. On arrival, crews requested assistance and so further appliances from St Ives, St Just and Falmouth, as well as another wholetime officer, were additionally mobilised.

Crews used hosereel jets to tackle the fire. Breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera were also used.

The fire has now been extinguished and our crews have left the scene.
