Fore Street, Redruth at 01/01/2006 20:24
Crews from Redruth, Camborne, Falmouth, Helston, Perranporth and Truro attended this incident. The fire was on the ground and first floor of a three storey building measuring approximately 10 x 50 metres. Teams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were committed at the incident, hosereels and jets were used to extinguish the blaze. Crews were delayed for some time damping down and dealing with hot spots, the last appliance returning at approximately midnight. Arson was suspected. Devon & Cornwall Police were in attendance and the Arson Task Force were also informed.
