On receipt of this call appliances from Redruth were mobilised to the incident. On arrival further resources were requested, an appliance from Falmouth and the water carrier from Newquay were mobilised. The fire was initially in a bedroom of a two storey detached property, the fire had then spread to the roof space, teams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus using hosereels were commited at the scene, the Thermal Image Camera was also used to check out the property for hot spots when the fire was eventually extinguished, crews were then delayed cutting away and checking the premises. The last crew returned at approximately 2230 hours.
