Small Electrical Fire Within Domestic Garage

One fire appliance from Looe Community Fire Station and one fire appliance from Polruan Community Fire Station were mobilised to a report of smoke issuing from a garage. Firefighters from Looe, some wearing breathing apparatus, used a hosereel and carbon dioxide fire extinguisher to deal with a small electrical fire inside the six metre by three metre detached garage. Engineers from Western Power Distribution were requested to attend to ensure that the electricity supply is safe.
