Property Fire Update

At 00:48 the Critical Control Centre received numerous 999 calls reporting a fire at a property in Fore Street, Newlyn. In total, appliances from Penzance, St Just, Hayle, St Ives, Falmouth, Tolvaddon, Helston, Truro and St Dennis were mobilised along with 6 whole time officers for support. Police and ambulance also attended.
On arrival, the building was well alight and crews used breathing apparatus and hosereel jets to extinguish the fire. The incident has now scaled down. A full fire investigation will take place this morning to establish the cause of the fire.
