Critical Control received reports of a gorse fire on the Lizard Peninsula. On arrival crews discovered several gorse fires. We currently have pumping appliances from Mullion , Falmouth , Tolvaddon, St Keverne, Helston St Dennis & 2 Flexi duty officers in attendance.

Update: 20:30 Firefighters used beaters and also allowed the fire to burn to a natural fire break. The cause is believed to be arson and the Police have been informed.
Crews are making up their equipment and will be leaving the scene soon.
