Monday 5 November will once again see Falmouth Firefighters lighting up the sky with their annual firework display.
Falmouth Firefighters Social and Welfare Club, and members of Falmouth Cricket Club will be hosting this year’s event at Falmouth Cricket Ground off Trescobeas Road. Gates open at 6.00pm for a 7.00pm start.
Come and join the fun with Pirate FM providing the entertainment and enjoy a hotdog, burger, hog roast or a doughnut amongst other refreshments. There will also be a children’s fairground ride.
This year will see £7,500 worth of fireworks being let off to music. This is guaranteed to be one of the largest displays in the county with a very explosive line up of fireworks; this is one of the largest and most expensive displays we have put on said Giles Kent, show organiser. I would encourage people to get there in good time, as huge crowds arriving at 7.00pm make it very difficult for us to get everyone into the ground on time. Also there is no car parking on site at this event, so please allow for this in advance.
Come and join us and enjoy this very special evening, entry will remain at £4 for adults and £2 for children; children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Local charities and bonafide good causes are invited to apply to be considered for a share of the proceeds from this community event. A small proportion of any proceeds will go to support the activities of the Social and Welfare Club, including the costs of hosting this firework event. Thanks to the communities continued support for the event, last year’s event raised over £6000 that we were able to share among local charities and good causes.
We invite applications from community groups and charities, in writing to:
