The Critical Control Centre, based in Tolvaddon, received a 999 call at 05:32 informing them of a bungalow fire. In total, three appliances and a water carrier from Tolvaddon and Helston were mobilised and are in attendance, with a wholetime officer also on scene for support.

Crews confirmed on arrival that the bungalow measuring 8 x 10 metres was well alight and used hosereel jets to extinguish the blaze. Crews are continuing to monitor hotspots and are damping down. The police have been informed and are on scene. Western Power is also in attendance to isolate power to the property and Highways attendance has been requested to close the road at this location.
