Two appliances from Falmouth attended a call to a chip fryer fire in a restaurant in a three storey building with flats above. The fire in the industrial fat fryer which staff members had put a fire blanket on to the fryer before evacuating the building which prevented the fire from escalation. Firefighters entered the building wearing two breathing apparatus and used a foam extinguisher on the fire. Due to the nature of the incident, Firefighters remained on scene monitoring the temperature of the fryer with a thermal imaging camera before leaving scene.
