Two appliances from Lostwithiel and Bodmin and a wholetime officer were mobilised to this incident. On arrival crews discovered a barn measuring 6 metres by 8 metres to be well alight along with 20 metres of hedge row and requested the attendance of a water carrier, which came from Liskeard.

Firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
