Fire appliances from Bude, Holsworthy (Devon), Hartland (Devon) and Delabole are responding to a property that is well alight.
Update 1540hrs: A detached two-storey property, measuring approximately 8 metres by 10 metres is fully involved in fire. Firefighters are working hard with a hosereel jet and and a main jet to extinguish the fire. Water is being pumped from the River Neet and further supplies are being established.
The roads around the area will be needed for fire appliances, so please stay away.
Police are en-route to assist with road closures.
** Update @ 16:45 **
The incident commander has requested a further two appliances to support this incident due to limited water supplies in the area. Also a water carrier from Wadebridge Fire Station is also in attendance.
** Update 18:30 **
6 pumping appliances are still on scene at this incident working to extinguish the fire. Appliances include Bude, Holsworthy (Devon), Hartland (Devon), Delabole and Launceston. With supporting vehicles from St Just, Wadebridge, St Austell, St Dennis and Saltash.
Three officers and our engineering workshops team are also in attendance.
** Update 20:30 **
This incident is now being scaled back to two appliances. A structural surveyor is attending the scene to assess the safety of the building. Police are remaining on scene to maintain a cordon.
**Update 08:00 01/06/2019**
2 appliances still remain on scene damping down and turning over.
** Update @ 12:40 01/06/19 **
All appliances and officers have left the incident ground. All persons have been accounted for and the first stage of a fire investigation has taken place. The incident has been handed over to Devon and Cornwall Police.
