The Critical Control Centre received 17 calls in total to this incident. Initially, crews were mobilised to a car fire but as soon as the first crew arrived, it was apparent that this had spread to the adjacent residential building and a request for further assistance was made from crews on scene.

In total, 4 appliances from Perranporth, Tolvaddon and Newquay were mobilised, along with 2 wholetime officers for support.

Crews, using breathing apparatus, extinguished the fire using hosereel jets.

The fire is now fully extinguished and a fire investigation is underway to establish the initial cause of the fire.
