Appliances from Helston, Penzance and Tolvaddon attended a call to a fire in a property at 13:30 today. On arrival the crew confirmed there was a fire in the bedroom of the cottage and used breathing apparatus and a hose reel to enter the property and extinguish the flames. Firefighters checked the adjoining property for fire spread using a thermal imaging camera and ladder.
One appliance from Helston is currently remaining on scene monitoring for any hot spots.
