At 08:29 a crew from St Austell Community Fire Station was mobilised to Barkers Green in St Austell following reports of smoke being sighted in the area.
Crews located a small fire in a wooded area consisting of cardboard and waste products and used one hosereel jet and beaters to fight the fire.
Crews extinguished the fire and left the scene.
