Both appliances and the land rover from from Penzance attended this incident. The fire is on two fronts, firefighters had been attempting to extinguish the fire using beaters, when darkness fell the crews stopped fighting the fire because of mine shafts in the area, appliances from Penzance and St. Just monitored the situation throughout the night. The fire was allowed to burn out under supervision and was finally extinguished at approximately mid-day.
