Three appliances from Tolvaddon and Hayle are in attendance at a gorse fire which has started as a result of spreading from a controlled burning. Firefighters are tackling a 300 metre front of high gorse, crews are using 3 hose reel jets and one main jet. Water is being shuttled from a near by hydrant and from a stream using a light portable pump. At 22:59 crews were making steady progress using two main jets and two hose reel jets. Crews will re attend scene early on Saturday morning to check for hotspots.
