The Critical Control Centre received several emergency calls beginning at 20:12 to reports of a loud bang and smoke coming from a sub station.

Two appliances from Bodmin Community Fire Station were mobilised immediately, along with a wholetime officer for support. Western Power and Devon and Cornwall Police were also requested to assist our crews on scene.

On arrival, crews reported smoke issuing from the sub station and used BA to further investigate what was involved. Shortly after, crews confirmed the fire was out on arrival and handed the incident over to Western Power.
