At 23:24hrs our Critical Control Centre received a call to report a static caravan on fire in the area of Brea.

Appliances from Tolvaddon and Hayle Fire Stations attended the incident. On arrival crews reported the static caravan has been completely destroyed by fire and the fire had spread to an adjacent container.

Wearing breathing apparatus firefighters used hosereel jets to extinguish the fire and damp down the caravan.

The incident has been handed over to Devon and Cornwall Police and an investigation into the cause of the fire will be completed in due course.
