Two pumping appliances from Falmouth and Truro, an Aerial Ladder Platform from Truro and a wholetime officer were mobilised to a grain dryer on fire.
On arrival, crews discovered a 30 tonne grain dryer to be on fire and proceeded to fight the fire using two breathing apparatus, two main jets, one hose reel jet, one triple extension ladder and a thermal imaging camera.

An additional pumping appliance from Truro was mobilised upon request from the crews on scene. Firefighters are currently formulating a plan to remove the corn from the dryer. A welfare vehicle from St Dennis has also been sent to the incident.
FURTHER UPDATE - 09:21 - MAKE PUMPS 4 and WATER CARRIERS 1
An additional pumping appliance from St Austell, a water carrier from Helston, an incident command unit from St Just and a second wholetime officer have now been sent to the scene of operations.

Crews, alongside the farmer and specialist equipment have removed all grain from the silo. The silo has now been deemed safe. Appliances are packing up equipment and will soon be leaving the incident.
