Two appliances from Newquay attended a call to alarms sounding and smoke sighted in the building. On the arrival of the Fire Service to the property a request that a third Fire Appliance was made. A third fire appliance from Padstow was mobilised to the scene. The hotel was on three floors and measured circa 60 metres x 20 metres. Firefighters tackled a fire in a void between the ground and first floor using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, one extinguisher and a thermal imaging camera.
