Large Gorse Fire
Goonhilly Downs, The Lizard at 01/02/2006 17:10
About 25 firefighters from Mullion, Helston and St Keverne fought a large fire that spread to over 100 hectares of gorse. The fire was brought under control by 2116hrs using beaters and hosereels. Crews remained in attendance damping down hotspots, with the last appliance leaving at 2215hrs.
